FARMER'S ALMANAC REDESIGN

The Old Farmer's Almanac is a trusted source for information on farming, but its design is out of date and not user friendly. Through my redesign of the publication, I wanted to change the target audience to a younger millennial demographic. This rebrand will show younger readers that anyone can be a "farmer."

The new visual design language for the almanac is inspired by old field guides and journals as well as beautiful editorial publications like Martha Stewart Living and Real Simple Magazine. The mix of hand drawn elements juxtaposed with a strong grid layout gives the publication a rich new look suited for the occasional gardener and DIYer.

To bring the project one step further, I created print advertisements with witty taglines to catch the attention of younger readers.
